This information will be processed by us solely to communicate with you and provide you with the support you have requested.
We do not share any of your Personal Information with any of our partners or with any third parties. However, we may disclose information you submitted if we have a good faith belief that disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; to enforce our policies and agreements, including investigations of potential violations thereof; to investigate, detect, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities or other wrongdoing, suspected fraud or security issues; to establish or exercise our rights to defend against legal claims; to prevent harm to the rights, property or safety of us, our users, yourself or any third party; or for the purpose of collaborating with law enforcement agencies or in case we find it necessary in order to enforce intellectual property or other legal rights.
We are part of a global group and as such your information may be stored or processed in locations around the world, including but not limited to the United States of America. Note that we may also appoint third-party service providers (operating under our instructions), who may need access to your information in connection with their services on our behalf. Transfers of your Personal Information will be made in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
We will take the steps necessary to ensure that international transfers of personal data (including Personal Information) meet all requirements under applicable data protection laws. When personal data collected within the European Economic Area (“EEA“) is transferred outside the EEA, we will take the steps necessary to ensure that the transfer of such data provides sufficient safeguards, and you may exercise your rights, where applicable, to receive information on such transfer mechanism.
We employ security measures to prevent unauthorized access to information that we collect online. However, you should be aware that online platforms are inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information. Please note that email correspondence with us is in free format text and cannot be encrypted. Accordingly, please do not send any sensitive information via email.
Where provided under applicable law (e.g., within the European Union), you may have the right to ask us to delete Personal Information which you have provided to us, subject to applicable exceptions, such as in order to preserve that information for anticipated litigation or demands from a regulator, or some or all of the following rights: the right to obtain information on our use of your Personal Information, the right to obtain a copy thereof, the right to data portability, the right of data rectification, the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, the right to restriction of the processing, and the right to withdraw your consent.
In order to assert any of these rights, please contact our Data Protection Officer at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Note that we may request proof of identity, and we reserve the right to charge a fee where allowed by law, such as in circumstances where your request is excessive.
In addition, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, subject to applicable law (as is the case in the European Union).
Rights of California Consumers
Residents of California have additional rights related to the Personal Information we collect under the California Consumer Privacy Act (the “CCPA”).
The CCPA gives California consumers the following rights related to their Personal Information:
Requests under the CCPA can be made at no cost to the consumer. Request apply only to the Personal Information collected in the 12 months prior to the request, and no more than 2 requests may be made in any 12-month period.
Only you or a person you have authorized to act on your behalf (and who is registered with the California Secretary of State) may make a request under the CCPA that we can act on. Requests must be sent by e-mail to email@example.com.
We must confirm your identity and that you have the authority to make the request before we can act. This begins with comparing the information you give us with information we have in our files. Therefore, while we will try to limit the information required for your request under the CCPA, we may need additional details in order to verify your request. We need at a minimum enough information to confirm that you are the person about whom the request relates, or are duly-authorized to act on that person’s behalf, and enough details about your request to allow us to understand it and respond to it. Without enough information to confirm your identity and what you are requesting, we may need to decline your request.
We try to reply to all confirmed consumer requests within 45 days of receiving them. We will let you know in writing if we need more time to respond (we may need up to 90 days). If we need more time, we will let you know why.
We will not discriminate against you if you exercise your rights under the CCPA. Doing so will not result in the denial of goods or services from us, or in any changes to the pricing or level of quality of goods and services you receive from us.
If you are a California resident who does business with us, in addition to the CCPA California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section §1798.83) allows you to request certain details about Personal Information we disclose to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. These requests can only apply to the calendar year immediately before the year in which the request is made, and only one request can be made in any calendar year. Requests under the California Shines the Light law must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We reserve the right to not respond to requests under either the CCPA or the Shine the Light law if they are submitted via any method other than to email@example.com.
Children under 16 (or a younger age, as applicable in certain jurisdictions) are prohibited from using our services and crx Mouse Product. In the event that we become aware that a user under the age of 16 has shared any information with us, we will delete such information immediately. If you have any reason to believe that a child under the age of 16 has shared any information with us, please contact our Data Protection Officer at: firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are under 18, please be sure to read this policy with your parents or legal guardians and ask questions about things you do not understand.
